Calamine Lotion has been formulated to provide the symptomatic relief of itching and soothe minor skin irritations.
Description
Calamine Lotion contains the active ingredient zinc oxide and works by cooling and soothing irritated skin, while the antiseptic properties of zinc oxide prevent infections. It is traditionally used to relieve itching and soothe minor skin irritations by providing a cooling sensation that distracts the skin from the itching sensation caused by the oil secretions of external toxins. This makes it an ideal treatment for itching caused by insect bites, poison ivy and other toxic plants.Calamine Lotion may also be considered by pregnant women to soothe minor skin irritations and for relieve itching. Rashes upon the skin and itching are very common during pregnancy, and this mild anti-pruritic solution has been known to positively treat skin issues brought on by pregnancy.
Usage
Apply Calamine Lotion with a pad of cotton wool to the affected are of the skin as and when required.
