Overview
The Scheppach DM600VARIO is the ideal starter woodturning lathe for the home workshop. It can be easily mounted to any workbench giving optimum stability when turning wood. It features a powerful 550 W motor, has in–built variable speed selection, and 600 mm distance between centres. It also comes equipped with a 4 point drive centre, M18 thread revolving tail centre, adjustable tool rest, and face plate for bowl turning. Its lightweight compact design makes it the ideal starter wood lathe which allows you to turn 60 cm long spindles and 25 cm diameter bowls.

Good product BUT!!
Ordered through Robert Dyas but item came direct from manufacturer. Major problem with DPD delivery as I arranged to pick up from local PO who would not accept any ID other than QR code which I couldn’t get when collecting ( poor signal ), they then checked and said it was ‘probably’ one of the parcels returned to DPD as they didn’t have space, returned home, spoke to DPD who advised PO should accept any photo ID, I spoke to manufacturer who contacted DPD who said they would deliver to my home address the next day. Then received message from DPD that package delivered to PO! Returned next day as I now had QR code but they repeated that only QR code accepted!! Very frustrating and time wasted, got the impression that PO not very cooperative.

Scheppach DM600
I bought this a few weeks ago and still haven’t been able to use it. Can hardly get any adjustments as it’s so stiff to move along the bed. Have been looking for a proper chuck but can’t find any that fit. Am seriously thinking about returning it.
